I like managing the workload and leading a project: keeping people aligned, setting the direction, making sure the team ships together.
Tamiel Bouazzati.
Building software, end to end.
A software engineer across the whole stack. Systems, APIs and apps for web and mobile. I care about how something is built and the vision behind what it's for.
It's not about the language. It's about understanding the principle and applying it across different fields. That's how I work across the whole stack. The parts I enjoy most are these.
I like designing the base a team can build and expand on. The architecture and structure that let other people move fast without fighting the codebase.
I like understanding the full picture early, so I can work with the client proactively and build a better foundation from the get-go.
Where I've
worked.
Software Engineer
Datacenter & HostingEngineer in the R&D department. The work is broad: I build and maintain internal systems, run research and write tooling across whatever languages a problem calls for.
Part of the team building the ECOFED API, an implementation of the MPLI specification that lets cloud service providers step into this EU-backed initiative and adopt the standard with far less friction.
- Helped migrate datacenter access from iris scanners to hand scanners, so BIT staff and external visitors alike could enrol and get in.
- Led parts of the development on a project to automate and renew our network traffic statistics while also automating the invoicing for that traffic, spanning multiple departments and systems.
- Acted as the point of contact for the R&D department in projects, representing us as the software engineer people came to.
Co-founder & Engineer
Software StudioCo-founded a small software studio with a friend. We build custom software, ship client websites and set up AI automation, always fitting into the client's existing ecosystem and the tools they already rely on. We work with clients directly and help steer product direction.
Fullstack Software Developer
ConstructionInternship. Worked in an agile team across STA Software's product, shipping features on their API, web frontend and mobile app. I worked in different modules and shared my ideas on possible solutions.
.NET Developer
Internal ToolingInternship. One of the bigger things I built was a reporting process that let us easily export an overview of a client's services and costs, saving the director a lot of time and giving a clear picture. I also worked on the internal system staff used daily, from inventory to supplier import and export.
Selected work.
BRAM
Built at Start Orange, where I drove the technical side and took on a product-owner kind of role. A multitenant platform commissioned by Kwaliteit in Huis: care institutions write resident reports grounded in KIH's wellbeing principles; families can be linked to a resident to follow along; each organisation manages its own environment. A real product with real users.

Social Platform
A minimalist social platform inspired by Twitter and Reddit, built in an 8-week Agile and Scrum project. I led the team and set up the core structure for a scalable, maintainable foundation. Alongside leading, I built key features: profile editing, authentication, continuous scrolling, plus tuning the like and follower systems.

BombParty NL
A Dutch take on the original BombParty that we expanded on. A fast real-time multiplayer word game on WebSockets, running multiple lobbies as separate game instances, each with its own stats.
